After having the black color scheme for a good while, I figured a change was in order, so say hello to the new white-and-red design of my site. I’m going to be redoing some of the pages as well, namely the web design section.
I’m starting to put my stuff on a Behance.net portfolio, you should go and check it out.
I added a couple of new projects to the Web design page (now retitled Web/Flash design): Sienna Equities and Miltonwong.com. The former is a project still in progress, the scaffolds are still up, there’s still a bit of tweaking to do, plus it’s still on my own FTP, but it’s really close to completion. The latter is an all-Flash advertising copywriting portfolio I made for a friend a couple years back, and though he decided to pursue other career paths, I archived it on my own FTP.
A friend of mine works for a local weekly alternative newspaper, and being of the geeky persuasion as well, managed to get tickets for the evening show of Star Wars Live in Concert. The show was preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition from a guy from Lucasfilm, which included original costumes from the films. The show itself was incredible: C-3PO himself, Anthony Daniels, hosted the show, and in addition to the orchestra playing all of the best themes from the films, a huge screen showed clips related to the tracks and that synced up to the music.
